Lohri is essentially a festival of the agricultural and filled with cheering. It is celebrated in the state of Punjab on January 13, which is one of a few days before the headquarters of Sankranti. Lohri Punjab, while it is in essence the festival which is celebrated in a number of other states in northern India. In cities such as Delhi, which has a population of dominant Punjbai, Lohri is celebrated to signify the last of the coldest days of winter.
